Toyhouse

1 min read
So guess who also got a Toyhouse?

I've actually had it several years but only just recently started using it. x3 So take a look. It's got a lot of in development characters on it, along with some old favorites who need updating. So still a work in progress.

I know this will be a double post for a lot of you, but for those of you who do not know, my great and super important super kind just utter gentleman of a friend vovscurial has made a Guild Wars 2 server on Discord so we can make some more friends to play the game with and do some dungeons and stuff.

If you still play Guild Wars or even if you're just interested in learning about it, just pop on over and say hi.

Guild wars 2 serverSo I’m somebody who plays games very casually and I really like gw2 so I decided to make a chill gw2 server for casual and new players of the game! It’s to chat, get help on things, form dungeon parties, etc!
Feel free to join! https://discord.gg/zewjPdu
there’s rules and to get access to the other channels you have to post an intro!

Rules:
1. Post all the rules.
2. Post 8 facts about your character.
3. Tag 8 other people.
4. Post their characters names with their owners.

A late tag from vovscurial but I'll take it. Nobody ever tags me in these things because all of my friends are always too lazy to tag anyone. >< I JUST WANT TO PARTICIPATE. Anyway.

1. Despite being blind and needing to remove it every time that he shifts, Deon owns a watch, an old somewhat gaudy gold and brown thing with a leather strap and brass buckle. He knows what it looks like, remembers from when he was a child, before he was blinded and so he likes to have it, to wear it and touch it and feel it as it ticks. It's the only thing that he has left that he can remember the visuals of.

2. In the complete antithesis of his husband, Deon likes to eat healthy to help maintain his incredible physique, which he doesn't care about too much personally, but he knows the ladies love it so it's worth keeping around. While he doesn't really need to workout since he is a werewolf with a supernaturally good metabolism, he still has a fondness for vegetables and health foods. He will eat a salad totally for the fuck of it and it's weird.

3. He has an older sister who has not been named. She fled the nest the minute that she was old enough to, immediately traveling from their home in South Africa to the United States where she hoped to start a music career of some type. While Deon and his sister used to be close as children (she was the one who taught him to sing and play guitar), she left him and their other siblings to suffer poverty and the terrible things that happen therein. He resents her for this, that she left without warning and didn't send back money or keep the family updated, instead totally abandoning them like their father did. Deon is too nice to truly "hate" his sister, it's just not something that he is capable of, he definitely has some pent up emotions about his elder sister.

4. He has six younger siblings, mostly boys. All of them are werewolves.

5. Sings fucking everywhere, and I mean EVERYWHERE. He'll sing his response to questions, like if the cashier asks cash or credit they'll get a 'credit pls' song. He sings Doyle awake most mornings, he sings in the shower before heading to the studio to work (he's a singer and song writer for those of you who don't know), he'll sing in the car, he'll sing down the street, he'll sing his order for Chinese food, and so on. Though he is a talented singer, even when doing such improv, it still sounds nice but is still really annoying.

6. Has a lot of baggage between himself and his family. His father fucked off pretty immediately, occasionally visiting for a booty call but it always ended in a fight or a baby so eventually he moved on to god knows what. His mother was no help, mentally and emotionally detaching herself from the world and kind of just existing, leaving Deon to pick up the slack with his siblings. When his sister left, he resented her for abandoning them like that, but then, as soon as he was old enough, he did exactly the same thing, justifying it in his mind as "looking for his sister" but he never bothered to call his mother or send them money. Like his sister, he just left and they resent him just as much for it. He doesn't like to hear or be told this, so he just avoids anybody who knows anything and keeps the rest at a safe distance from the subject. I'm not even sure that Doyle knows, he's so ashamed of it.

7. In terms of therian society, he is a trained and talented shaman who can wield magic both defensively and offensively. He mostly sides on the defensive end of things, casting shields, kicking up or levitating rocks to get in an opponent's way, he has a lot of tricks up his werewolfy sleeves. He mostly focuses on healing abilities, using herbs and plants to make serums and things that can accelerate the already speedy werewolf healing factor. He can also see and communicate with the dead.

8. Because he was born a werewolf, his most natural way of being is to be in crinos form. Though he knew that he was a werewolf from birth and is able to control his shifting with great precision, his human form, for some reason, always comes out super hairy. He'll have a hairy chest and a happy trail of hair of the way down to his groin, and he's always sporting a pretty thick five o clock shadow. Even if shaves before he goes out, the minute that he shifts, all of the hair comes back and it's super aggravating.

- complains about never getting tagged for these things -
-immediately proceeds to not tag anybody like the giant hypocritical ass that he is-
this is fine

Hey guys, long time no see. x3

A couple of things have changed since I last posted a journal so I just want to say thanks for sticking with me during my little dry period where I was barely posted anything. I really appreciate you guys and your loyalty and it's just really touching that you're all still with me. So thank you for that.

Biggest change is probably my new meds that I'm on for my bipolar disorder. Everything is working real well, I've been feeling really good so that's great. I also got a new job stocking shelves at Walmart at ass o clock in the morning, so I have money coming out of my ears, that's really cool.

Also I've been seeing a therapist every week and she really has been helping me understand myself and what's going on with me. We've figured out that I am probably a demi-boy, in that I really enjoy and relate to male pronouns but they're not like horribly necessary, I don't feel like... I don't get upset at female pronouns, I think they still apply, but I just prefer male pronouns. So if you guys want to be cool and call me he/him, that'd be awesome, but don't like super sweat it because female pronouns are still fine. My family still uses she/her so it's fine whichever way you choose to do things.

Um... what else can I talk about? Not much else is going on. I turn 29 on Wednesday, that's pretty amazing. With my depression and everything, I never thought I'd live to see 30 so that's kind of cool.

Also I made a new friend, ForRealDoe . She is great and I adore her, she doesn't have anything in her gallery just yet but I'm going to pester her to upload stuff so keep an eye out for that. She is an awesome person and a cool friend so I'm happy to have her.

So yeah. How are you guys?

Hey My Dudes

3 min read
I really appreciate all of you guys who have been following my artwork for all this time, and those of you that haven't and are new here, just anyone who follows me and supports my work, it really means a lot to me and I thank you all for it. But I've been having a lot of health problems recently and it's really affected my activity, which I'm sure you all noticed. A lot of people like to mention it in their comments, by saying "welcome back" or "good to see you posting again". Again, I really understand that you guys mean well and I appreciate the comments regardless, but if you guys could stop saying those things, I'd really appreciate it. Maybe my head's not in the right place, maybe I'm just being a prick, I don't know, but being reminded of my inactivity is making it difficult for me to become active again. I feel like I've been letting you all down by not posting, and every "welcome back" and "good to see your art again" just reminds me of how long I've been gone and what a shitshow my work has been lately.

So for both our benefits, if you guys could try to curb those comments, it'd really help a lot. I went to draw earlier and realized that I didn't want to because I was so afraid of getting more comments like that, of being called out on my failure as an artist, is kind of what it feels like, if that makes any sense. So a little less of that would be cool, I'd rather hear what you guys think of my characters and my anatomy and my linework especially, I'm really insecure about my lines. I'm insecure about everything, let's be honest, but I prefer things that can be used constructively to improve, rather than just "welcome back". Does this make any sense?

I'm sorry if this seems... I dunno, insensitive. I shouldn't complain about what people say, I should be glad people say anything at all. But it really kept me from drawing today so I felt like it wouldn't hurt to just let you all know what's going on.

Anyway, let me know what you guys want to see from me, if there are any characters that you miss. I'll try to be more active from now on, I really do promise to give it my best shot.
